Origin Story 

• What first inspired you to start —was it a person, a memory, or a moment? 

  • I’ve always loved fashion. Growing up, I enjoyed dressing up, even when it wasn’t required, and I spent countless hours exploring boutiques and thrift stores with my great-grandmother, searching for unique pieces. In my late 20s, after experiencing significant weight gain, I realized stylish, confidence-boosting boutique clothing for plus-size women was hard to find. That inspired me to create a boutique where women of every size could feel beautiful, confident, and seen.

• Why did you become an entrepreneur?

  • After more than 30 years in corporate America, I realized I was spending my time building someone else’s dream instead of my own. I wanted the freedom to define my own success instead of having a company determine my worth, promotions, or earning potential. I became an entrepreneur to build a lasting legacy for my family, create financial independence, and establish a business that would allow me to retire on my own terms. 

• What do you love most about your business and sharing your creations with others?

  • What I love most about my business is seeing the confidence my customers gain when they wear pieces from my boutique. Nothing brings me more joy than receiving photos and reviews from happy customers who feel beautiful and empowered. I also love the freedom that entrepreneurship has given me, allowing me to create a life beyond the traditional 9-to-5. Most importantly, I’ve built genuine relationships with my customers—they’re more than shoppers; they’ve become friends and a community that inspires me every day.
